My Cherry Went to Heaven

Two nights ago, my Cherry left her family to go to heaven.

I am crying just to write about this. On Christmas day, Cherry suddenly was not able to walk, she can't moved her hindlegs. When I took her to the vet, the vet told me that she had a spinal cord trauma. And that for the next eight days we should take her every day to get her injection. My brother & I returned to the vet the next day, however, sadly, my uncle passed away on the 27th. And due to some tradition & circumstances, his funeral was held at my house. It was held for 4 days. You can imagine how hectic it was. So, I let Cherry stayed 3 nights at the vet's clinic so that she got proper care. When I picked her up, she was all better. She is already able to walk a little bit. I kept on returning to the vet to check her up. Then the vet said to return after 5 days.

Two nights ago, my family were celebrating my grandma's 75th birthday. Nobody was home except for my housekeeper. At midnight, he frantically called me yet I didn't hear it. So, at 1 AM, I finally picked up the call, and immediately rushed home. He told me that Cherry seemed to have trouble breathing. When I got home, her tongue already turned blue. I was crying like crazy and tried to perform CPR, and rushed her to the emergency clinic. When I got there, the vet told me that she has passed away. I can't believe I lost my uncle and my Cherry in two weeks time..

She is now rested in our frontyard. I am utterly devastated. I miss my little girl. She is only 6 years old. Too young. I am only hoping that she's healthy and happy in heaven. :'-(((

I am still crying every now and then everytime I saw her picture and just like to share my story with you all. It's been a while since I haven't been writing in this blog...

Mummy really miss you, Cherry.. It hurts really bad.. :'-(((

Cool (Literally) Teething Stick

So, I found a new chew toy when I was traveling in Singapore. It's called the Cool Teething Stick.

My dogs really like this thing!

For puppies, this stick can be frozen and gives a soothing sensation for the gum.

Petstages has a whole range of dog toys, it's pretty cool, since all of the product lines have different purposes. For instance they have ones for chewing, for interacting, for soothing, etc.

It's like the Sassy babies' toys for dogs!

My Bruno Has Chronic Renal Failure

Bruno has been diagnosed with Chronic Renal (Kidney) Failure. This is a condition where the kidney fails to remove waste products from the body, causing the toxins to increase in the blood flow.

My earlier post about him was just about some snotty nose, but then the vet noticed that he's getting skiny, so he wants to do a complete blood count, including kidney & liver function testing.

The result is in. Chronic renal failure. :'-(

I'm utterly devastated about this news and have been crying for 2 days now. He is getting thinner everyday. I have switched his diet, as the vet suggested, to a prescription diet.

This disease is untreatable, only doing the right things would make the progression slower. His BUN & Creatinine level are over the top (meaning: not good, toxins in blood are high).

Prayers needed. Please keep him in your thoughts.

I really love you, Mr. Big Guy Bruno. Please hang in there.

Chloé is Getting Bigger

I can't believe that Chloé is getting bigger everyday! I can't believe that puppies grow up so fast!

Get Well Soon, Bruno..

Bruno is having a sniffle. I panicked yesterday because I saw his nose is runny. So, immediately, I took him to the vet. I was so worried. Lately all I heard was some horror stories from my cousins, whose dogs I know very well, their dogs passed away within the last 2 months.

So, I'm not taking any chances with Bruno, he is 10 years old and such a picky eater, so I'm afraid that his immune system is not so good against diseases. It was such a relief that he is diagnosed with cough & cold.. (not anything horrifying like distemper, etc.)

He is now quarantined in my brother's room. No more playing with his cockers brothers & sisters for the next 10 days.

KMPI & Perkin Jaya Back to Back Multi Breed Exhibition

So, last week, most people in the country is celebrating our independence day, taking 3 days off, relaxing, sleeping... well, not me!

I spent the whole Friday preparing for the weekend show. I'm taking Chievo and Chloé for the show. It's Chloé's first show and I can tell that she's pretty nervous & confused about this whole show thing, but it's okay, after all she's still a baby! We just wanna have fun!



So, both Chievo and Chloé had great fun in the show. We met our friends from Solidglow Cockers, they brought their 2 dogs, Bolero & Elmo (Chloé's brother). Chloé and Elmo are very excited to meet each other, they play like crazy! Baby fight!
